The orginal manuscript that I wrote years ago took about eight weeks. Once I got an email from Parable announcing the Aspiring Authors Contest, I reworked the manuscript over a three month period and submitted it. Since the winners were announced, it took eight months in production.
I'm currenlty working on book #3, Soul Charade! The second book in the series, Soul Stain, is available on Amazon.com. Stay tuned for the third Clare James Art adventure in late 2016.
I have around a dozen books with stories to go with them taking Clare through her life, including marriage and children, but whether there are more added to the mix, only God knows!
During my own personal study abroad experience, I, like Clare in Soul Snare, fractured a bone in my foot and while on crutches had to spend an afternoon half trampled on the floor of a Burger King during a bomb scare in London. The details of that scene in the book are the memories burned in my brain from over twenty years ago!

While in college I, like Clare in Soul Stain, had a particularly difficult professor to deal with. I was surprised to find that 25 years later, he could still make me shiver in my seat as I drew from my memories to give Clare a real experience. Releasing that hidden anger and giving forgiveness wasn't for him or about Clare, it was for me.
